PLEASE READ CAREFULLY BEFORE AGREEING. THIS IS A LEGAL DOCUMENT.

In consideration of being permitted to participate in the Greenbrier River Trail Bike Trek (“Event”), I acknowledge, understand, and agree:

Assumption of Risk
I understand that bicycling involves inherent risks, including falls, collisions, equipment failure, effects of weather, encounters with wildlife, and conditions of roads, trails, lodging, and campsites. I voluntarily assume all risks of injury, illness, or death that may result from participation in this Event.

Release of Liability
I release and hold harmless Friends of Trek Inc., its directors, officers, employees, volunteers, event sponsors, and landowners from any and all liability, claims, demands, or causes of action arising out of my participation in the Event, including those caused by negligence.

Medical Treatment Consent
I authorize Event staff, volunteers, or medical professionals to provide emergency medical care if necessary. I accept full financial responsibility for any medical expenses incurred.
Insurance
I understand that Friends of Trek Inc. does not provide health or accident insurance for participants. I affirm that I have sufficient medical coverage for participation.

Rules and Safety
I agree to:

• Wear a properly fitted, CPSC-approved helmet at all times while riding.
• Obey all Event rules, posted signs, and instructions from Event staff and volunteers.
• Ride in a safe and courteous manner, respecting other participants and trail users.

Photography/Media Release
I grant permission to Friends of Trek Inc. to use photographs, video, or other media of me participating in the Event for promotional and fundraising purposes, without compensation.

Acknowledgment of Understanding
I have carefully read this Waiver and fully understand its terms. By electronically signing/agreeing to this waiver in the GiveSignup system, I voluntarily give up substantial legal rights, including the right to sue.
