Trek, and the subsequent family we have developed, runs thick in this family. Jim and I met on Trek, ultimately marrying and having the Kman. Through that time, the people in around the Greenbrier River Trail have become near and dear to our hearts.
We, along with the others on the governing board of Friends of Trek, are passionate about partnering with the folks in Pocahontas and Greenbrier Counties to spread the importance of education and health. The first three recipients of our "giving back" campaign have been paramount to these goals.
First, Cass Fire Department is a small volunteer department that covers an incredibly large run area, on hard to traverse terrain. With our donation, they will be able to hold trainings, recruit, or obtain equipment needed for the Department.
Second, Greenbrier County Youth Camp opens its doors all summer to summer camps for sports teams, bands, medical camps, and their own Camp Bigfoot. Our donation will help with general upkeep and programming.
Finally, we will give back to the Trail itself. By giving back, we can assure the safety and integrity of the trail for all who travel on it.
Your donation will allow these three entities to build on their current programs and allow us to build this event each year.
